The CV
Merlyna Lim is an Indonesian professor who is having fun at the Consortium of Science, Policy and Outcomes and the School of Social Transformation– Justice and Social Inquiry Program at Arizona State University.
She has published extensively based on her teaching and research interests that revolve around: (1) the mutual shaping of technology (including large technical systems such as cities) and society and (2) political culture of urban science and technology, in relations to issues of globalization, sustainability, democratization, and (in)equity.
Lim holds the following awards: Annenberg Networked Publics Research Fellowship (2005-2006), Henry Luce Southeast Asia fellowship (2004), Oxford Summer Doctoral Fellowship (2003), SSRC IT & Civil Society Fellow (2003-2005), NWO Wotro Fellowship (2003-2005), and ASIST International Paper Contest Winner (2002) and has given more than 70 invited lectures and presentations, including more than a dozen keynote speeches, in various places in the Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America.
