this is part of “SEVEN: Draw Your Days!”
one of my attempts to actively participate in participatory culture — instead of just ‘observing and researching’ it…
:::
el tocador del sábado
recalling pieces and bits of the day
a cup of coffee blurs with a piece of story
from a friend who made a surprise visit
a piece of bagel mingles with pages of words
from a pile of students’ papers
but the evening song is as clear as the first water diamond
coming from six strings instrument
painting the air with major and minor tunes
in the canvas of harmonious melodies
i pause. listen. to the sound of the night.
and close my day.
with the last strum
of el tocador del Sábado.

Aha. You promised a change on the blog – and ‘yes, you can’, yes, you did. Beautiful graphic art and fitting poetry. It makes one feel life has much on offer. I do really love this one.
This new approach is a (pleasant) challenge too. I mean not for you ( because you’ve got an abundance of talents I envy very much), but to the left as well as to the right side of the brains of your visitors. At least that applies to this visitor.
And it made me feel better.
thanks, Colson. the whole bone-flesh-and-structure of the (not-so)new website isn’t done yet, but glad to know that my work could make someone feeling better. i admit that in life i’m better for making people feel depressed (that’s what I do in the class, lecture, mostly, hehe)… so it’s so good to hear a different story
I am waiting for Seven 0.7
I would love to hear the back ground music to the archive sketches &
I want to meet the only zero zero Seven …007 – Bond…… James bond (-) Bond….
BR: haha, not sure the 0.7 would be better than 0.1, though.
nemo: come to Phx then and you can hear the music all evening.
i don’t know why but i feel like going to mexico again after seeing your sketch and reading your poem. up to san sebastian del oeste on sierra madres mountains, to be exact. it’s a historic old little town where the ambiance is so quite. maybe if you go check out the pics i took here http://www.tabblo.com/studio/stories/view/735557/ you would understand.
wow, your photos are awesome. yes yes i can feel your feeling…. thanks for sharing. now i can put that place in our travel agenda!
