Year 2012 in [Lim’s] Quotes

Here are some quotes I wrote in 2012.

On trashing: In today’s world people don’t throw trash away. They make it to tv shows, facebook status updates, and twitter.

On knowing: i am too old to feel that i know nothing, yet too young to claim that i know everything. i think i know a little more than nothing, a little less than people think i know, way less than i think i need to know, and yet perhaps way too much than what really need to know to just live in.

On the Dutch: M Lim in 2005 said “Everything is predictable in the Netherlands, except for Dutch weather and Dutch immigration.” In 2012, that statement is still true.

On suck: The world sucks. But then again, if the world doesn’t suck, we’d all fall off.

On writing: Unlike what people think (yes, you and you, and you, too), I don’t write like a river. Reality is: I hate writing but I hate not writing even more (read: I love writing more than not writing!).

On Christmas: Santa Claus just unfriended me because I said “I don’t believe in Santa”. Now I have to join the Claustropobia group :)

And lastly,

on New Year: #1 New Year’s eve is good for you. Statistics prove that those who have the most of it live the longest. #2 I look forward to the new year for a new start on old habits.

Happy New Year again, y’all!

  1. Voorspoedig Nieuwjaar!

Ten to agree with all this quotes ( and disagree at the same time – but I won’t argue statistics :)). But I really, really hope ‘hating not writing’ will prevail. In 2013 and all years after that.

(Was this a predictable comment?. I’m afraid it is.)

Dank u well! Hope that particular statement will prevail for both of us, indeed.
And yes, Colson, you’re predictable…. and predictably pleasant!
